NYCE OVERVIEW
Objective:
The National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (NYEC) provides students from JK to Grade 12 with an annual opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills by presenting innovative product or service ideas in a structured virtual competition. This challenge is designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and public speaking skills, supporting students in developing a comprehensive understanding of business concepts. Participants benefit from learning how to create practical business plans, conduct market research, and strategize for profitability. The event features a rotating panel of esteemed guest judges, who are award-winning business leaders with diverse expertise, offering participants valuable feedback and real-world insights.
Structured to promote academic growth and self-confidence, the NYEC allows children to practice public speaking in a supportive environment, hone their persuasive skills, and gain firsthand experience in presenting to an audience. Family members, school peers, and the broader youth community are encouraged to watch and support participants, creating a collaborative atmosphere that motivates all involved. Awards for top performers include features in the Brilliant Youth Series of Winner Magazine and certificates of participation and distinction, which celebrate both effort and achievement. Presentations are recorded and may be shared through social channels, inspiring future young entrepreneurs and promoting educational growth.
The next challenge will take place in May 2025, with a registration deadline of April 30, 2025. Schools, programs, and youth communities interested in joining can email info@bns-news.com for registration details.
